Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback Tony Romo married Candice Crawford on May 28 at Arlington Hall. Candice Crawford, 24, a former Miss Missouri, and now a reporter for KDAF-TV in Dallas, is the sister of Gossip Girl’s hero Chace Crawford.
The light spot of this fairy tale wedding lies in Candice’s dramatic walk down the aisle, Tony’s personal vows to Candice and sensational fireworks in the end.
It was a lavish over-the-top wedding ceremony with 600 guests, stern security and a few celebrities. There was footage of the lavish marquee with place settings for the guests who included R&B singer Ashanti and Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Miles Austin.
The mediumrecorded the touching moments of the newlywedarranging for the big day, with Crawford getting her makeup done, putting on a pair of towering crystal encrusted platform heels and looking desperately into the distance.
“I always dreamed of why my wife would be, what she would look like to what her personality would be,” he says at the altar, which was under a lavish leafy awning.
“And I’m standing with you right this moment, he adds to the tearful looking Crawford. ‘I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.”
On that big day, Romo wears a custom made Dolce & Gabbana white tuxedo and black trousers, while Candice wore a St Pucci gown. The dress is made from 100% pure silk duchess satin which she has depicted to Us Weekly magazine as “a work of art”.
As for Crawford, he also had anamazing 15 bridesmaids who are seen getting extremely excited, one of them screaming: “Do you feel like a bride? You’re getting married!”
And the next, the couple was declared as the newlywed, then a snowstorm of white confetti was seen being scattered over the congregation.
Candice said she loves Tony’s smile but what really stoleher heart was his spiritual side.
“Something that was always most important to me was finding someone that had the same beliefs and faith as I did and as soon as we had talked about that and shared those types of feelings of outer faith, I think that was when it was a definite deal breaker,” she explains.
Looking back, the couple began dating in September 2009,just two months after Tony broke up with Jessica Simpson, the night before her 29th birthday. But when Candice’s birthday was on arrival, she had nothing to worry about. Tony proposed on Dec. 16th, 2010 at her 24th birthday party in Dallas and it had been anexplosive event ever since.
Even though it seems that the couple was taken off some pressure, Candice decided to take time off from her job to get ready for her wedding. But she had no any plan to give up her career yet.
