Britney Spears has been married twice before. In 2004 she wed high school pal Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, but the marriage was annulled after 55 hours.
Then she married her backup dancer Kevin Federline in October 2004 but filed for divorce in August 2006 after giving birth to their two sons.
Kevin Federline and Britney Spears were married in Los Angeles on September 18, 2004. Twenty-seven guests arrived for what they thought was an engagement party and were presented with a card that read, “Surprise! It is with much love that we welcome you to our wedding ceremony tonight”.
Nearly everyone hated everything about Britney Spears and Kevin Federline wedding. It came as an awful surprise to the rest of the world. However, Britney’s gorgeous Monique Lhuiller wedding gown saved the occasion.
Britney wore a $26,000 Monique Lhuillier strapless silk gown with a hand sewn train, cathedral length veil and matching half-gloves. She also wore a Cynthia Wolff diamond lace bracelet and Sergio Rossi sandals. She carried a Swarovski crystal and lace trimmed bouquet of white roses by Mark’s Garden. Kevin wore a black tuxedo by Jeff Fox for Scott Hill. Britney’s five bridesmaids wore $3,000 red gowns by Monique Lhuillier and ruby jewelry by Cynthia Wolff.
For the backyard reception, Britney changed into a lace micro-mini Monique Lhuillier dress. A tent was erected and decorated with fuchsia and red roses, bright pink hydrangeas and hundreds of candles. The two shared their first dance to “Lights” by Journey. Guests toasted with pink champagne.
But recent reports said Britney is eager to get hitched for the third time.
Earlier this week, Jason Trawick was reportedly out shopping for an expensive piece of jewelry for his potential bride-to-be. He apparently spent some time looking at high-end jeweler Pascal Mouaward‘s collection of diamond rings. Although news of the engagement was denied, Spears still managed to step out flaunting some bling on her high profile ring finger.
The pop princess arrived in London on September 16th wearing a very sparkly ring on her left hand, rumored to be an engagement ring from her current boyfriend Jason Trawick. No wonder she had a smile on her face.
As for the rest of her outfit, Britney kept things a little too casual in a bulging check shirt, skinny jeans and tassel embellished ankle boots. We’re already looking forward to seeing the wedding dress.
